Artemis vs Softbank Team Japan, race 8… finally we had a real race and it was fun to watch until Japan made the usual huge mistake by tacking too close, and race was over. From there on, Artemis was easily in control.

For the first time through, we could feel emotions and tension and the human element determining who was winning, and that was capturing attentions and emotions. It must be hard for Barker to be again and again in the same situation, kind of as if there was a written destiny somewhere.

Dean Barker, another loosing come back for him. After the 8-1 to 8-9 of San Francisco 2013, this 3-1 to 3-5. Not an easy day for Dean

And now we have ETNZL vs Artemis, in the light air kiwis looks clearly better, in strong winds it could be a even match, ETNZL with a better boat, Artemis with some extra experience and byte. We will watch and report, actually think that this semifinal could lead to one unexpected win by Artemis if winds are up. Grumpy old man starts liking the show, nothing like tight fights lift the show, well… we have a couple more weeks to end up regretting the cup is over… 😉
